Logbooks : of the Virginia (Steamer), 1943 November 19-1947 February 14.

This steamer traveled back and forth from Newport News to Norfolk and also from Norfolk to Portsmouth and back on a daily basis. Included are the logbook (5 August 1946 - 14 February 1947) and engineer's bell books (19 November 1943 - 24 August 1944, and 24 August 1944 - 10 June 1945). These logbooks contain information on the trips including travel date and time, direction and speed of the vessel, equipment checks/drills, and weather conditions.
